Inspired Autosport provides new rims for Brabus Mercedes-Benz SL550 V8 Biturbo
As if German-based car tuning company Brabus’ handiwork wasn’t enough, the owner of this Mercedes-Benz SL550 decided to further enhance it by handing over to Canadian car tuning firm ‘Inspired Autosport.’
The SL550 is originally powered by a 4.7-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, which generates 435 horsepower (320 kW) at 5,250 rpm and 699 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque at 1,800 rpm. Paired with the engine is a seven-speed automatic gearbox. The car reaches 62mph from standstill in 4.6 seconds, with the top speed being 250 km/h (155 mph).
Experts at Brabus remapped the ECU and fitted advanced intercoolers, increasing the car’s top speed to 300 km/h (201 mph+). Using Brabus springs, the experts also lowered the ride height so that it doesn’t catch air at high speeds.
Inspired Autosport enhanced the car with a set of 20 inch CEC C882 forged monoblock wheels in Machine Black. At the front, they measure 20×9, while at the rear, 20×11.
